I liked the idea of seeing the spectacle however, I hated the idea of sweating & then seeing the entire ceremony standing! The place was over crowded. Since it is free there is no control on the number of people entering & the rush is so big that even the security guards are not able to control the flow of... More

Long queue before entry, longer afterwards & no escape. Go only if you could arrange a VIP seating. Otherwise you could be crushed & pushed in crowed, could get scolded & insulted by a BSF Jawan, could lose your family, could burn your butt, could just find yourself standing for 2-3 hours and lot more can happen with you. No... More

Well worth the effort involved to get out to the border. Fascinating to see the display: just a little unfortunate that there were so many people resulting in the views being partially blocked. Recommended.

I was disappointed by this 'performance'. The security was heavy handed and dangerous, so much so that the female in our group didn't get in and had to go back to the car. My son and I made it but by the time the 'performance' actually started I was hot, bothered, thirsty and my back hurt, so I left early,... More

Hugely entertaining, bizarre spectacle. It is sobering to think that these two countries have nuclear capability.

Liked and Loved : 1. the parade 2. The BSF Jawans 3. Snipers 4. The feeling of being there Disliked :1. Too much song& dance for a border area 2. Not organised properly 3. Preferential treatment to foreigners..(WHY???) 4. Security for name sake All in all, I loved my visit at the Border but would not want to do it... More

Around 30 kms from Amritsar City, everyday there is a show there and it starts by 5 in the evening, you have to reach well in advance as this place gets too crowded and its hard to find a space where you can stand and see the show, though for females they have different stands and entrances. Show is hosted... More

I visited wagah with my family on 3 rd June. It was extremely hot and sunny. reached at 4:00 pm by taxi which stops at a stand outside the stadium gate. The gate opens at 4:30 to 4:45pm and there is no point (absolutely) reaching early as a huge crowd (in thousands) collects there and keeps swelling outside the gate... More
