I enjoyed this site, if only for the opportunity to get close to the monkeys and the horn bill, yes I know that their environment is being destroyed and the owners are making money but what is RM60 to us who are able to visit from the richer parts of the world, Palm oil is a cash crop that this... It was such an amazing experience. Me and my friend were hesitant due to the price at first but we realised it was worth every penny and actually turned out to be reasonable. More

Being 30mins from Sepilok and through some really bad oil palm roads should not deter you from coming here. You get to see the monkeys close up and they are cute!! Also, there ere many silverleaf monkeys and we managed to spot a hornbill. Good 1 hour spent More

Visited here during same trip to see the Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre. Relatively speaking, we saw sooooo many more proboscis monkeys, at closer range, than our visit to see the orangutans. They came right up to visit us - very close up. We got to watch them at two different platforms. On the day we went, there was only one... More

You need a taxi to get here and a driver who knows the way. It is down a dusty track and is comparatively expensive compared with other attractions. R260 which is about $40 each person. They must have fed them before as they were reluctant to bother coming in the droves that we had been told about More

As very few other reviewers seem to have mentioned--this is NOT a sanctuary. If you watch the propaganda-like film they offer beforehand, you'll get a sick feeling in your stomach when you realize you've just paid RM60 to these guys who mowed down these monkey's entire habitat for palm plantations, and then decided to cash in on gullible tourists. Note... More

First a little info for people considering heading out to Labuk -- there is a shuttle that leaves from the Sandakan Hotel at 9:30am and goes out to Labuk for 15MR...what they don't tell you is that there is a 40 min stop at the Orangutan Sanctuary where you are not allowed in to the Sanctuary and have to kill...
