Maybe it was the time of day or maybe I was just tired, but Discovery Centre seemed to lack any real substance. The canopy walk was limited (still under several stages of construction) and the gardens seemed to have been lacking any real TLC. After hearing so much about RDC finally made a trip there and was a little disappointed as there were only 3 Orangutans and they were a distance away from us. There are a number of well maintained trails beyond the lake which give you a flavour of the rain forest, without the fear of getting lost. If you walk all the trails, then you can spend up to 4 hours of moderately strenuous hiking, with the opportunity of seeing many different birds/lizards/monkeys and impressive trees (Giant Sepilok). We spent a couple of hours at the discovery center in between feeds at sepilok and labuk bay. At 10RM per person it is great value and well worth spending some time to walk on the trails and the well-constructed steel walkways within the canopy. Got to saw a giant squirrel but as it was midday most birds and wildlife... More

We saw a Bornean Bristlehead as soon as we arrived so no complaints! We also saw the Giant Squirrel and Pygmy Squirrel! Would have loved to be hear early in the morning or late in the afternoon, but still worth a visit! More

Birds & monkeys are just so hard to spot but the flowers in the more formally made gardens & walks up in the canopy are great-you have to be fit though to climb most towers up to the walkways-some are 35 metres high & it's hot up there! More

A lovely way to see the Rainforest. The sight of hornbills flying in the wild is just amazing!!! More
