This street is not for the weak hearted. You will find all kinds of things from clothing, jewelry, food, and any other house hold items in one place. It is very chaotic and parking is hell. More

The T.Nagar and Ranganathan street are known only for shopping. You can shop all, literally for all kinds of thins here right from stickers to textiles at a very cheap price. If you wanna experience the real authentic cost effective cultural soak in the midst of the heart of the chennai, then go ahead and be in the middle of Ranganathan street around 11am or anytime there on....just figure out how at all you are able to navigate your way thru...the real adventure in itself... Its one of the most chaotic places i have seen in India and thats saying a lot. You will be hard pressed to find a place to put your next step, its that crowded. IT A BUSY street with lots of shopping malls, jelwery shop,good veg and non veg restaurant...late night shopping, good shop we have an excellant welcome salegirl and salesmen are friendly,very helpful good saree and jewelly shop but the're fixed we dont get discount. that why we did n't buy more. The hotels are generally the highlight of holiday. Lots of shopping can be done. I hoilday to rest, eat, drink and enjoy. Drive from Chennai to Mahabalipooram was interesting. More

Dirty, claustrophobically crowded,hot & dusty. Flea markets are best visited in the evening & you can buy cheap watches for $1-2 & a variety of other small items but be very aware of your personal safety at all times. There are no attempts to improve the quality of life in here. i feel sorry for the residents of the locality, civic discipline is poor, commercial streets have made living very difficult. commute through this locality because of the commercial establishments have made it a night mare. Flyovers added to the problem. More
