Facilites were under going a much needed refurbishment so there were only port-o-johns. Trails and disc golf course weren't marked very well or well maintained

My family likes to go hiking here, plus they have a playground for the little ones. If you look online you can find information about the prehistoric life that use to live here. And if you look, you can see the fossils of this prehistoric life in the boulders. Great for field trips!
Awesome place to spend the day hiking or just taking in the beautiful scenery. Located atop Monte Sano mountain with beautiful views of the city of Huntsville below. Great rustic scenery.
It was too cold to stay for very long but it was something to do on a Sunday. There was a giant telescope that is normally open to the public on Saturdays. We happened to be there when they were testing and repairing the telescope and they let us have a peek. Very nice people and they didn't have to...

I love to disc golf. This place has an amazing course, I really enjoy the scenery looking off the mountain side.
Great place to hike and adventure around. Easy for inexperienced hikers. Nice trails and very hilly (I'm from flat Ohio haha)
Monte Sano State Park is by far my favorite place to be in Huntsville. So many trails to explore, it is peaceful, almost always well kept, including the bathrooms. Camping is great, hiking is wonderful, kids park is fun.
Lots to see and do in Huntsville. The park has several scenic look off points and attractions. Great nature trails.
Monte Sano is gorgeous. There are great views of the valley and surounding hills. Another great place to visit during the autumn.
You are expected to make a donation when first entering the park. Once inside you see how your money has been put to great use. From breath taking views, fun trails, a medium sized waterfall, bike trails, huge playground, camping, history paths, and just so much more.
