We have a small Chinese Classical Garden in Vancouver (The Sun Yat-Sen Garden) so we were interested to see a large one. There is certainly a lot of it. There were also a lot of people. Definitely worth a visit, but be prepared for the crowds--you won't be doing much quiet contemplating here.

We had a great tour of the gardens and loved the Rockery with its Great Rockery, 14 meters high. The gardens are 400 years old. The Jade Rock is 3.3 metres high and has 72 holes. It is one of three famous rocks in the southern region of the Yangtze.

This was the only Chinese garden I visited on my trip. It is adjacent to the Bazaar and it's many shoppers and vendors. It is very quiet although in the very city center. Very relaxing place, lots of flowers, trees, hidden gardens. If you want to fully touch Chinese culture from the very past it is a must see.

Very different to other gardens I've visited in China - but equally impressive with the craftsmanship and quality. It's relatively speaking very small but laid out in such a way as it feels much bigger with plenty of eye-candy in every direction. Truly impressive.

A classic garden with abundant flowers, buildings, rock formations, pools. Take your time and wander around and imagine what it must of have been like in the past.

The garden and around it are a real pleasure. In the pond the grey fish is 51 year old. The atmosphere is romantic. The area around the garden, with its market, shops and restaurant is unique. Worth a visit. Go to the near restaurant lu Bo Lang
