There is no better way to unwind after a long day than by visiting the hot springs and treating your body to its naturally replenishing effects. When taking a break from the soothing hot springs, you can dine in the authentic, home-style Costa Rican restaurant. « less

Dinner and hot springs dipping at the Ecotermales Hot Springs in La Fortuna was a fabulous end to a very busy day. The spring’s pools of steamy water are just what the body needs after a long day of trekking. The drinks were very good (pina coladas, daiquiris and various others). One could alternate hot springs with the cold waterfall... More

Our hotel suggested getting a dinner and hot springs deal with Baldi Hot Springs for $38, but I really wanted to try Ecotermales after seeing all of the TripAdvisor reviews. After I made an online reservation, Jorge from Operations and Reservations at Ecotermales emailed to offer his help with planning and recommendations in La Fortuna. I had no idea this... More

At first, I wanted to head to one of the main hot springs in the area but I talked myself out of it after reading blogs and reviews. This place was well worth it. They charge less because they have a little less to offer but it works because simple works. They limit the amount of people but when we... More

Due to time we visited during the day and the cost seemed high, spoke to many who visited at night and they found this a fantastic trip. Drinks and food available but during the day I would say stay at the pool at your hotel.

Family owned and operated, clean, nicely decorated, excellent covered areas for shade and rain, good bar operates on the honor system; pay when you leave for what you drink. Clean and safe locker room with towels. Springs are much more private than others in area. Well known by locals as the best with true spring water, not well water.

These hot springs are located right in La Fortuna and are a perfect place to enjoy a quiet evening after a day of hiking and exploring. The reservations were made by our hotel and checking in was simple. The springs are lush and tropical, and the "honor" bar is perfect for soaking and relaxing. When the sun set, the place... More

We chose Ecotermales after doing a lot of research on the hot springs in La Fortuna. When we arrived, we were given a towel and keys to our lockers, we were told that the bar is on the honor system (and was super cheap!) and what time to come up for our lunch that we had preordered. There were only... More

I did a lot of research on the various hot springs in La Fortuna before leaving home, and then double-checked with a couple of locals once we arrived. They all said that Eco Termales was a great option for couples who weren't into a party atmosphere but did want a natural setting with a limited number of visitors...and they were... More

We visited Fortuna area during a busy time so many were trying to get to the Hot Springs. Ecotermales was a "great" option since it limited guests at any one time, hence, providing a very nice peaceful and relaxing setting. There are many pools and nooks and crannies that make it easy to find solitude. However, there is also a... More
