Our guide, Jose, was very knowledgeable and we did learn a lot about the flora and fauna of Costa Rica. The cages that the animals were kept in were a bit sad, but overall the animals seemed well cared for and healthy.

Wow, totally amazing place to be on your vacation! If I had more time, I would have come back a second day to volunteer. We had a great morning 'volunteering at Proyecto Asis. The kids thoroughly enjoyed being animal care staff and even my not very keen husband came out having fed baby parrots and delighted to have joined us.
