We had a great tour of the hanging bridges, surrounding rainforest, and resident wildlife. We saw sloths, owls, lizards, bees, beetles, spiders, snakes, etc. Our guide even knew where a local tarantula lived and was able to coax her out for us to take some amazing photos. He was also very willing to take photos of any wildlife he thought... More

I'd been wanting to visit the hanging bridges for a few years now. Finally, a friend visiting me here in C.R. agreed to go. We loved it! The views are amazing, and we spotted howler monkeys, a small pit viper (wow!), and plants, flowers, and trees that took our breath away. Of course, my buddy and I are into nature... More

The walk through the bridges would have been pleasant anyway, but we wouldn't have seen a single animal without our guide, Erick Guzman. We saw howler monkeys, collared peccaries, a viper, leaf-cutter ants, poison dart frogs, bats, a mot mot, and lots of other cool birds. We went early and avoided the buses that arrive around 8:30.

We really enjoyed the hanging bridges and actually spotted them randomly thanks to a sign on the road (therefore, it's very easy to find). The hike was great. Don't expect it to all be flat, there is a fair bit of uphill walking. But it is definitely worth it as you get some magnificent views off of the higher bridges.... More

We arranged a guide through the park, which I highly recommend. She had a telescope so you could see birds up very close. She also took pictures with your camera through the telescope, so you get the best up close photos ever. The bridges were fun, wide, safe. If you fear heights and want to overcome, this would be a... I grew up loving the old Tarzan movies and always saw myself someday trekking through a jungle. The Arenal Hanging Bridges did not disappoint. This was my husband's and my last day in the Arenal area. We had a car so decided to skip the 6am wake up call so we could go later in the morning and at our... More

We had a great time on the Natural History Tour with our guide Indira. She saw things in the trees that we never would have spotted with our untrained eyes. We saw howler monkeys, a white hawk, a boa constrictor, a baby viper, a vine snake, some colorful birds, and more. We even saw two tayras crossing the trail in... More

This was a very fun, non-strenuous walk/hike. Saw Howler monkey, keel-billed Toucan, eye-lash vipers, and much more... Highly recommend to take this trip when in the area.. Guides were great, informative, and went on a good pace for the group... Don't miss this...

My husband and I visited this park in April and had an amazing time. Our guide was Oscar and he was very knowledgeable and loved his job. He showed us animals, insects, and plants and provided information on each one. He carried a spotting scope to further enhance our experience. I strongly suggest that you pay the little extra for... An incredible 2 mile walking trip uphill in the canopy forest. The bridges afforded a fantastic and exciting view. Allow 2 hours at least to enjoy the walk and scenery. We were lucky enough to spot 2 spider moneys and parrots in the trees when we completed our walk. Would do it again!
