Cahuita National Park is a small piece of parkland right at the end of Cahuita village. It is a nice easy walk (though you do have to cross a fairly shallow (when we were there) river at one point. The trail is wide and easy. You won't see as much wildlife as you might in other parts, but it is... More

a great NP where the entrance fee is a donation as it is run by the local community who appreciate tourism. The first time I walked in it I saw no wildlife, the next day a ranger walked with and spotted 5 sloths, 3 snakes, a hummingbird nest, monkeys etc etc within a couple of hundred metres. So dont pay... More

Very nice park! We saw sloths, monkeys, lizards, and at the end a yellow viper. The beach is also great and worth the trip to.

Rained when we walked the trails, but we did see an array of wildlife. Sloth with baby, cappuchin monkeys, raccoon, lizards, and every ocean shot from the beachside path is a post card! Cost $10.00 US to enter, but I heard if you go through the entry at Kelly Station (downtown Cahuita) it's on a donation system. Entire walk takes... More

It is a great place to wonder about and see all the natural wonders of Cahuita. We had a lovely hike for over two miles...partly following the ocean which was cool. We saw gorgeous butterflies, a tucan, unique flying bug with bright orange wing tips and yellow legs and iguanas. We heard some monkeys but didn't catch a glimpse. It's... More

The path was very wide and easy to follow. We did not see very many animals, but the hike was still beautiful.

Really nice national park. Plenty of wildlife; we saw monkeys, lizzards, racoons, snakes, and crabs. Because of it's accessibility it does get plenty of visitors so you'll never feel completely emersed in the wild. Be careful of leaving food lying around, even if it's packaged. We watched a monkey steal some guy's lollipop and crackers while he was swimming and... More
