Friendly staff, lovely lagers/beers to try. Fab T shirts. We bought some of the ale. You have the choice of glass stubbies OR cheaper to buy the beer in a plastic recycled cola bottle

Great little brewery. We pulled up on our scooters and the owner came out and met us. Talked through the history of the brewery and gave us a taste test of the beers including one that is not yet released. Bought some cheap beer in an old 2L soft drink bottle for later. A good find!
So glad we found this place on TripAdvisor. Showed the listing to my husband who homebrews and the decision was quickly made. We did stop in while they were getting ready for deliveries, but the owner happily stopped to give us a tasting and chatted with us about brewing. They don’t add preservatives, so the beer has a short shelf...

I had planned to visit the brewery after reading about it prior to leaving for Rarotonga. I also got to try both their beers (pale ale and larger) at the resort we were staying at, and i enjoyed them both, so the visit become a must do
The trip to the brewery was very worth while. The owner is keen...

We visited the Matutu Brewery during our brief (2-day) stay in the Cook Islands. I highly recommend visiting this place. It's easy to find .. there's a small sign off the main road, then you turn inland and go for about 100 yards to the brewery.
This was by far the best beer we had on the island. They make...

Awesome little brewery, friendly and happy to chat... and as for the beer, at $10 for a 1.5 litre bottle, you totally need to visit on your first day. Unlike us who sadly found it on our last!! Highly recommend, stock up for your holidays here!
Fantastic beer, tiny brewery. There are two brews - a lager and a pale ale. Both are stunning! This is a craft beer with no added preservatives. The brewery equipment is hand-me-down from Tuatara Brewery in NZ.
Come here on your first day, have a quick look around the brewery, buy yourself a 'no crap added' t-shirt, and stock up on really good pale ale or lager. $10 for a 1.5 litre bottle. Closed Sunday like most things on the island.
One of the highlights of our Rarotongan holiday is drinking Matutu Ale. Available in better restaurants, from the Brewery, plus CITC Bottle store, Wigmores etc. Beautifully crafted Ale and Lager, worth every cent asked.
We visited the brewery during our stay after trying Matutu at dinner one evening. The guys were great! Got a detailed tour of the brewery & tasters. This is a must do!
