It's a great stop for people traveling in the summer. Has all the tools you need for researching, printing, connecting to wi-fi, and just reading and relaxing. Very openly and has great big wide windows so you still feel the beauty of Homer. One thing I ddin't like are the study/reading cubes/sections by the huge windows across the high-top study... More

The Homer Public Library is a wonderful public facility available to both residents and visitors. Works by local artists decorate the inside and outside, and there is a special reading area complete with a fireplace, quiet nooks with tables to do your work, plenty of computers to get access to the Internet, individual rooms with their own doors for folks... This library was new in 2006 and is clean and spacious. There is an enclosed children's area with regular story times, 16 free public internet stations, current magazines and newspapers, small meeting rooms for groups, and numerous places to use your own laptop with free wifi. You must have a library card to check books out, but there is a... More

Who would think such a place exist in an Alaskan town? Well the public library perfectly reflects what Homer is all about: artists, writers, nature, fishing, and some good sense of community. And the building is great! Free Internet (wifi) if you'd like to check emails. Anyway Homer is the perfect place to start any Alaskan trip, or maybe to... More

While traveling I like to check my e mail, but am reluctant to do so in motels with unsecure sites. The Homer library is very modern, easy to find, and they have 17 computers for visitors to use. Very freindly, helpful staff. Quick access

I am not a huge reader, but the Homer library is my main resource for books and movies used for my employment at an assisted living home.

I am not normally a library person - as I do most things online. I had to meet someone recently and they suggested the library. So - we met here. This place is amazing... very modern and comfortable. I ended up going back each day to check my mail with my laptop by the roaring fire. AMAZING!
