Go during low tide to see the local sea life. We took a hike with a ranger on a Saturday morning with our kids and had a blast searching for sea anenomies, hermit crabs, and fish. Just bring your rain gear!

From historic gun placements to scenic views, I found this park to be an enjoyable day visit. Great views of the coastline coupled with a nice hike made for a good day.

The views were great, there were nice hiking trails, and this was the best places to see whales off the coast.

When you go to Kodiak, plan a trip out to the museum. The hours are short but the hands on museum is so worth the trip. Went to Ft. Abercrombie for several hours with friends and had a great time snapping photos if the beautiful scenery and cooking out at one of the camp sites.
