I just spend several days at the cheetah center filming the cheetah run they show in the mornings. I had an amazing time and I would recommend to anyone to go and visit the center. Rita Groenewald, who organizes the education program, helped me tremendously with my filming efforts and even came in on her days off to lend me... More

An incredible facility and a wonderful place to visit. It is a unique and very enriching experience to interact with this incredible cat. The other animals and the Wild Dogs just add to an unforgettable day. Even if you are not a wildlife enthusiast or passionate about the great outdoors and animals you will be enchanted by the experience. The... More

In December of 2012 we were lucky enough to visit the Ann Van Dyck Cheetah Centre near Pretoria. I had been there in 2008 and worked for a while with the wonderful team of people that Ann had gathered around her led then by the curator Alan Strachen. December 2012 was a return visit to see again the cheetahs we... More

We went as a family and were able to get lots of fabulous pictures of these wonderful creatures. The tour was very informative and interactive. Highly recommend it.

I spent two weeks volunteering at the Ann Van Dyk Cheetah Centre during the summer of 2012. Every minute I spent there was breathtaking. The animals are beautiful and the staff, especially Linda and Alan, is nothing short of amazing. Getting a glimpse of wild life up-close in a friendly and welcoming learning environment truly changed my life.

I had an absolute blast at the De Wildt cheetah centre! I travelled there with a group of volunteers in May 2011 to help take care of the cheetahs, wild dogs, and vultures for two weeks. Needless to say, it was the time of my life. All of the staff at De Wildt were awesome, but Linda and Alan went... More

I have visited the Ann Van Dyke Cheetah Centre numerous times and every time the standout attraction is not the animals but the people helping them. Without the people the animals at De Wildt would have lead very different lives. One person in particular needs a special mention...Alan Strachan. The behind the scene work he does to ensure the animals... More

I first visited the Cheetah Centre in July 2012 for a half day tour with Alan Stachan. Alan's partner Linda Rosenlof was away on the day I visited so Alan showed took me around the centre. I was both impressed by the set-up and entertained by Alan's sense of humour and stories and impressed by his understanding and love for... More

My husband and I were treated to this visit by my daughter in England, from where she made the reservation. We arrived on Easter Monday having spent the previous night at the ```cheetah Lodge about ten minutes away by road. We first saw some cheetahs in large pens where they had plenty of room to run about. We then had... More

Visited De Wildt on Easter Sunday for a private tour. At first, the Cheetah Centre doesn't look like much but very quickly I was proven wrong. We started early in the morning for the cheetah run, and that was followed by a drive through their large grounds, stopping for visits in the cheetah enclosure. Our guide, Linda, was simply excellent... More
