As we walked around the university and town, this was a very wonderful little stroll. Gave a great sense of the natural and imported plants.

Look out for the bonsai absolutely stunning and the age of some of them surprised me, just beautiful. The gardens are well designed and have such an amazing variety. A great place to buy seeds. Its also free!
we visited the gardens as something different to do in stellenbosch as we were exploring. But sorry to say they weren't anything too special. Fairly pretty and had nice tea room nearby, but unless you have a serious eye for plants and trees, it's ok for something to do for half an hour, but not the most exciting thing to...

This is a great location to just pass away the time in a beautiful location away from the noise and pollution of the traffic. There are plenty of seating areas and lots of things to see. It's great if you just want to get out of the hot sun, elax and maybe read a book in the shade. The Bonsai...

A beautiful quiet place in the middle of Stellenbosch, on campus of the University of Stellenbosch. Very well taken care of. Minutes away from the Conservatory, Neelsie student centre, etc. Nice to have a breakfast or lunch at the café in the middle of the garden or just read a book sitting on one of the benches in the garden....

This place was on the outskirts of town and by that I mean across the street. It was quite picturesque and lovely. I ambled around the grounds. There were some really neat paths to follow. I never knew there were so many different types of bonsai.
This was a great find the Bonsai Garden was too beautiful and what a fantastic place to grab a bit for lunch - what a find - really interesting.
Surprising oasis of peace and quiet close to the centre of Stellenbosch. A delight to walk around. Also a very tempting cafe!
if you have an hour to spare, this is agood spot to visit.in march it was very green but with few flowers.other times of the year it should be wonderful.they have a good collection of bonsai.
This was like having lunch in an oasis of peace just a block from the middle of campus. The simple menu was adequate but a little more pricey than student fare. However, they do accept credit cards and the service was excellent. If you love plants you shouldn't miss spending an hour or so here.
