We visited this wine farm today and had their braai for lunch. Included was snoek pâté on pot bread, lamb chop, delicious boerewors and pumpkin fritters ( the best I've ever had). The farm has resident goats, pigs, ducks, tortoises. The resident boerboel and sausage dogs are a lovely addition. R135 was a good price for a great traditional lunch

Amazing! Why do people visit South Africa and then go to a European Type Restaurant? At Middelvlei you can experience a South African meal together with excellent wines.

Middelvlei wine estate has a real farm feel and not so commercialized. We visited on Sunday during lunch time and discovered that they do a real good old fashioned boere braai. The Wine Tour, Tasting and Blending was an awsome experience and we will be back soon! The "Boere Braai" was absolutely great and well worth the money. Don't change anything!! You guys rock!!

We popped out to Middlevlei and were quite surprised to see Kangaroos and other animals. The ownwer went through the wines with us personally and told us why he had done and what he had done. It was a personal and lovely experience.
