Children can spend hours in this center, studieing a varity of science projects, areas of both past and present projects.
I learned a lot too but for kids, this is the bomb. Fairly large place that takes the better part of an afternoon to go through if you look at everything. Kids from about 5 through 13 would find this great. A little older or younger would also be engaged but may not fully appreciate everything. They have rotating special... More
Firstly, set up well for wheelchairs. Lots of space between things so plenty of room to get around. I think that "Grandpa" had just as much (or maybe more!) fun than the kids. We watched "Attack of the Killer Space Rocks" in the Planetarium. They had a special event making little bottle bomb/rockets with liquid nitrogen? and smashed some pumpkins.... More
We took our 8 year old daughter and spent about an hour here. That was all we had alloted in our busy vacation schedule. I wish we could have spent the whole day! This is one of the best science musuems we have been too. We all really loved it. The fantastic water room was a favorite. I highly recomend... More
Lots of hands-on exhibits with occasional special ones. Many occasion for children to experiment with physics concepts while playing. Many areas are fun for adults too. Only negative: some of the most popular activities may have a wait. Our daughter's favorite spot is the waterparea. The planetarium and IMAX theater are always worth visiting, and the cafe' and the gift... More
The Science Center is designed well and has some unique exhibits, but there are many exhibits we have seen in other cities (Boston and Birmingham, Alabama primarily). We got in free because of reciprocity, so that was also good. I'm not sure how I would have felt paying full price for a somewhat copycat museum. If you haven't been to... More
Nice place to take school age children. Lots of hands on activities for them. They have an IMAX theater and planetarium which unfortunately we didn't have time for but would have loved to seen the shows. Also, they have a nice gift shop on site.
A great place for people of all ages to experience science and fun at the same time. There are several hands-on exhibits and interactive displays where you can involve yourself and experience science instead of simply reading about or listening to scientific information. I had a great time at the Magnetic Ball Wall. There are some great exhibits like the... More
Employees are very friendly, has a gift shop and a place to eat. Exibits are everywhere but my favorite is the Planetarium.
I just took my grandsons down this last weekend, the oldest of the two was not sure if he really would have fun , he had a ball, they had a lot of hands on things for them to do, and see. It was the physical touch and see that was great and fun for them
