Great for mountain biking, hiking, a picnic (when it's not too hot) and even fishing. Yes! There is a lake/pond there were people were fishing. From on top of the buttes you can see the city unfold in front of you. Great photo opps.

Nice, easy little hike to the "Hole". Nice view. Good for less mobile, elderly and children as it is an easy hike up the back. Lots of parking available and free.
Great place to take out of town guest who want a little flavor of the Southwest without traveling out of town
make sure you go see the "dinosaur turds" as the rock formations are fondly known by locals. used to be a lot nicer to visit here 35 years ago, but still spectacular
This park was just amazing! From the fabulous view to the breath taking trails this park is a must see!
