My boyfriend and I decided to do the Evening Sky Tour on a whim last night after arriving in Sedona. This informational star gazing tour takes place on a grassy field near the Valley Verde School. We were greeted by our guide Niles who led us to the field where chairs and blankets were lined up, along with a telescope... More

We had a great star gazing experience this week. We had a beautiful clear night with Matt as our guide. He was very knowledgeable and easy going. We were able to see Jupiter and Saturn with four moons and the rings. Matt also pointed out many constellations with a laser pointer and told the Greek myths they are named after.... More

I was recommended to do this tour if I ever visit Sedona. Just recently moved to AZ from CA, and living in Glendale, the 1.5hr drive wasn't bad. Getting to Sedona and seeing the majestic Red Rocks during the day is amazing. Seeing the celestial night sky via the tourguide of Evening Sky Tours was great. I came with a... More

The guide was very good, pointing out the binary star in Cassiopeia and showing them through the light filter. On this night we were able to see the Comet Pannstars, two shooting stars, several satellites, the background light from the Milky Way Galaxy, Jupiters rings and a host of constellations. Our guide was very knowledgable and it was a fantastic... More

Saw the milky way for the first time! Growing up in NYC you don't realize what you are missing. The sky tour was great. Like going to a planetarium show, but with a real sky. Just amazing to see so many stars with the naked eye. The telescopes brought things into view I had only seen in pictures.

My husband and I visited Sedona for the first time in February 2013. We were not sure what to expect with Evening Sky Tours but ended up really enjoying. I did get pretty chilly towards the end. If you go during the winter months, dress warmly!! Our guide was very knowledgeable and we learned a lot. The moon was very... More

We were lucky enough to book on a very clear night. The stars were utterly brilliant and you could even see the bands of the milky way. Our guide had a great sense of humor and gave everyone enough time to see all the items in the telescope. He made us feel comfortable and encouraged us to ask questions. It... More

My family and I visited Sedona last month (early June) and we are so glad we decided to do this while we were there! It was a beautiful night and Weston and David were awesome guides. They were both highly educated on astronomy and definitely knew what they were talking about. We also found a great deal on Yelp (about... More

I found this company using TripAdvisor and read through the reviews and decided I would try it out. I was a little hesitant because of some of the reviews on here but thought I would give it a shot since we were out in Sedona and it being a dark sky city we had to. It was a super clear... More

We appreciate the review and feedback from this guest. We expect that this guest must have misunderstood our astronomer. The telescopes we use are of the highest quality and some of the largest portable telescopes available (we use 14" - 17 " scopes). More importantly, our guides use the highest quality eyepieces which provide the highest resolution for our guests.... More

Thanks to Sedona's lighting restrictions and rural setting, the night sky has awesome visibility. The astronomer who spoke to our group trained the telescope on Venus, Mars, Saturn, a star cluster and a galaxy, and discussed constellations with enthusiasm and good humor. Highly recommended.
