We did the self-guided day tour. When you walk in, it is rather shocking! First of all is the darkness and eerie feeling, secondly the smallness of the area and thirdly the disorganization and lack of presentation. If you are expecting a status quo, nicely organized museum presentation, you will be disappointed. The whole museum has a 'grandma's attic' feel... More

There was a fossilized mermaid... the same you see at any hokey museum. Not worth the money. There was some cool tools that were used in the 1800s though and an old school faro table.

Price was a little high but glad we went in. I know ,that this is not the first time anyone has heard this, but I wish the battery in my camera would have not drained so fast and died ,when we went down to the gambling room. I was told that this happens quite often and it does.Wierd??

Drove all the way from Orange County to Tombstone to see the Bird Cage. Hmmm.... how should I put it. Its interesting, unique and has a lot of history behind it. But I think its a bit small. There is a $10 fee to tour the Theater. Before you pay and as you walk in the lady working there talks about... More

I've wanted to visit the Birdcage for many years, being interested in the Wild West, and it's alleged haunted past. We visited on a Tuesday afternoon, so it was not terribly busy, and that was a plus since it is very small, with tight walking spaces. In order to enter behind the scenes, see the "cages" and the basement it... More

We enjoyed walking into the bar and the "old cowboy" telling us all about it, then we paid entrance to see the Birdcage Theater. Very interesting and worth the price of admission. It is left just like "in the day" it was a theater!!! It was fun to see just how SMALL the sitting areas were and there was a... More

Sort of cheesy. Not much to see but you don't know it until you buy your ticket. Don't buy the ticket!

If you go for the history of the theater, it's a great tour. The set up is cool, helps to understand the times. We went on the Ghost Tour. The group that came out before we were allowed to go in were excitedly talking about Ed and how much activity there was during Lights Out time. My husband and I... More

Not very interesting. I enjoyed the fact that it was an old building, but I didn't think there was enough historic information to put a $10 value on the entrance. It had a few antiques, but nothing to explain the use or function of some things. The hearse was an original antique of that area. I thought the court house... More

If you are in Tombstone then you have to visit the Birdcage Theater. It's still looks like it did a hundred years ago or more. It's old, shabby, with the dust of the olden days still there. There's a good deal to see, and the place will creep you out a bit. People have seen ghosts there and its considered... More
