We took in Meteor Crater in February. In spite of the high wind, the crater was definitely worth the look. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There's an interpretive center, gift shop and food. We arrived late in the afternoon and the park was closing at 5:00pm. Wish we could have spent more time.

Stumbled upon this area on our trip and decided to check it out and it turned into the best tour with a lot of great information and picutures of the crater. It is a real learning experience about what is being done to prevent future meteors from causing and destruction to our planet in the future. the tour guide was... More

I had been here, but my girlfriend hadn't. She was very skeptical about the genuineness of this attraction. Within 10 minutes of entering the exhibit, she was convinced. A very well done museum type exhibit with a lot of interactive things. A nice break if you are traveling across the southwest. Very informative.

I'd been wanting to see this since I was a kid reading books on the solar system and outer space. It was as impressive as I expected. The film was good but a little short. Exhibits were good. Everyone was glad we went.

Started to second guess my decision to stop as we approached, didn't know if I wanted to spend the money. My husband and I were really happy that we did. We got both a senior and AAA discount, not much but it all helps. My husband enjoyed watch both movies (I couldn't because of motion sickness) very informative. Wish there... More

We were a little worried when none of our Arizona friends could tell us that they'd visited this site...but, boy, are they missing out! Like others on TripAdvisor, we were fortunate to have the kind, informative and funny Eduardo as our super guide. He made the natural and human history of the place come alive. We weren't prepared for the... More

It is a good interesting thing to see. It is not excellent, but very unusual. It is privately owned and therefore much more expensive than the surrounding public parks and activities. Nevertheless, with the entrance fee of 20 dollars per person it is well worth the time. The guides seem very knowledgeable, witty and make the two hour tour most... More

Meteor Crater is a little expensive, but it was worth it. The history of the area is pretty cool, and the visitor center does a nice job of educating you about it. The crater itself is so cool to see. Pictures don't do it justice! I wish they had better hours, as they close fairly early in the evening. There... More

Spent a few hours here while touring AZ in April. At first thought admission is a bit pricey, but you see a short, interesting film, get to talk to and question a friendly guide, and are able to walk about a half mile out around part of the crater with the guide, and afterwards, you can spend quite a bit... Honestly- when DH wanted to stop here I thought "yawn, a hole in the ground". Boy was I wrong! We took the guided tour, and Eduardo was our SPECTACULAR guide. He really has a wealth of knowledge, and shared it in such an entertaining way- really made the crater and it's history come alive! We left feeling very happy we'd... More
