If you are visiting Yuma, then this is an attraction in the north of town close to the Territorial Prison and Gateway Park. There is a lot of historial information and many exhibits about the history of the Yuma area, the army and development of the town. If you have an interest in history, this is very much worth visiting.

Had a great time at the Quartermaster Depot. Trying to imagine how life was here at the turn of the century when temperatures pass the 110 degree mark. History brought back!!! I wish that more could be added to the exhibit since Yuma has so much history to share!!! As an overall experience I did enjoy learning tips and bits... More

This is VERY easy to get to and worth the time if you're exploring Yuma. Here the Quartermaster Depot has original adobe buildings and some have the original furnishings. The park is quite nice ... and there is an special exhibit on Alcatraz. It's worht your time - and the $4 entry fee isn't too bad (get a Yuma Historic... More

Definitely a site to see and full of history but has the potential for an awful lot more. It's a big area but could do with more information and better displays. Worth a visit before you go to the Prison which is tons better

if you need to spend some time this is an interesting little museum with your typical historic relics from its era.

Equally worth a visit whilst you're visiting the Prison. A wander through the site to see what life was like there in the 19th century is well worth the visit.

There's not much to do in Yuma from what we saw, but this was a good way to spend a couple of hours. A lot of good exhibits, although not really much that's interactive for kids.

Also known as the Quartermaster Depot, this park is best visited in cooler weather because seeing everything entails walking outside in the sun or standing in hot and stuffy rooms indoors. However, if summer is the only time you are in Yuma--like it was for me--then don't let the weather dissuade you from visiting this place. It was very interesting... More

We stopped at Gateway Park for a picnic on our way home to California. It was a nice, clean park with plenty of covered picnic tables or grassy areas if you want to lay out a blanket on the banks of the Colorado River. There were a few other families but the place is big enough to not feel crowded.... More
