Nice park in the center of the island. Public concerts and events during the summer, great change of pace when on vacation to kick back with others and enjoy. NOT a pet friendly park, signs everywhere. Understandable, who wants to sprawl out on your blanket for concert night and dodge the piles left by the D-bag owners who are not... More

My favorite park in San Diego is on Coronado Island. It is the setting for art shows, concerts, and lazy summer picnic days. The children's playground is exciting, interesting, and safe. Parents actually supervise their own children and join in the fun. The Catholic church across the street offers visitors a place of worship on Saturday at 5 and Sunday... More

Spreckles park is great. A lot of grass areas to where you can play with your kids, have a picnic, etc. More than enough opportunity for shade if you are worried about the sun. Great location

An oasis in the center of the Crown City. Art in the Park, Friends of the Library books sales, wonderful free Sunday night concerts in the summer where families bring picnics and folks dance while musicians play in the gazebo. Every day, children enjoy the well maintained play ground while parents visit and church bells ring.

This park is well maintained, and has some great equipment for the kids. During the summer, there is live music scheduled for the pavilion, and some events that also happen. When in town to visit family, we always have our parties in the park, and always enjoy our time there! I'm actually going down there in a couple of weeks... More

Our family loves visiting this park. There are a good amount of benches and picnic tables. There is also a playground for the kids. The park has a beautiful gazebo, perfect for small weddings. While the park is a good size, make sure to keep an eye on your children as the park is on the main road. Don't expect... More

An amazing park sitting in the middle of Coronado. A great place to take children for the huge jungle gym. In the summers on a warm Sunday evening is the enjoyable "Concert in the Park". Take a picnic and some friends and enjoy the music while you catch up with friends nearby. It's also a great place to lay on... More

check the online schedule for live concerts in the park. We saw the MCRD Marine band there. It's free, it's late enough in the day not to be too hot, and you can bring a picnic (including wine or beer). There are many beautiful old trees in the park, and there are art shows every other Sunday.

After attending mass at Sacred Heart Church we strolled across the street to the Spreckels Park. There was a nice art walk going on. The children playing at the park were having a blast. Nice park to visit with or without children.
