We spent a few hours this morning doing a couple mile leisurely walk through the redwoods. Very peaceful, awesome experience. We would recommend it to others.

Very nice walk, but still want to see the ones you can drive through. It is home the the largest and oldest trees. Park in the visitor center and you can walk some mild trails through the trees.

This reserve of giant redwood trees is a hidden gem. Located along the Russian River in Guerneville, the trees are amazing. The paths are easy to follow for families with young children or older less mobile adults. Our visitors from all over the world have loved to see the giant trees without having to deal with the crowds of Muir... More

These are the second forests of redwoods we have visited on our trip to CA. The first was in Yosemite and were much more impressive, The next will be in northern CA which I expect to outshine all of the others; however, having said that, I thank Col Armstrong for his foresight in donating this forest to the people of... Because of health issues, my husband and I have to do all of our sightseeing from the car. We can't always access parks, as places such as Muir Woods are geared for those who can at least walk a flat, easy trail. But at Armstrong, we were able to drive through the park and follow the road several miles, traveling... More

Travel into the story of Robin Hood when you explore the giant Redwoods of Armstrong Woods. Nice trails and a wonderful experience if you love the outdoors. If you are from the Midwest, these woods are a MUST SEE!

We hiked the 5.6 mile loop. Then, we took the approx. 1 mile trail thru the Redwoods where the Armstrong tree was located. The trail is well marked and a great day hike. We even had time to stop at Korbel for a tour and tasting afterwards.

I have lived in Sonoma County since 1973! That is when we discovered this place! Now we take all out of town visitors to see the beautiful redwoods, walks, nature and breathe the cool oxygen from the grove! My brother was even married out here. Beautiful setting, and amphitheater for a crowd. Why fight the crowds at other redwood groves...we... More

What a treat - incredibly beautiful setting. 300 foot Redwoods that are majestic and a great place to spend an hour or two. Easily walkable on flat terrain you can take in a serene and inspiring walk of around a mile or so. If you're looking to get away from the masses and want some quiet time that you won't... More
