Did not get to go inside but it was okay for me. It was really nice to view from the outside while we were on our sites and bites tour.

especially for kids! They have an organist who plays before the shows, just like in days of old, which is always a treat. Add that it's Disney owned (any thing Disney I find is well done) and they add film themed props, and you get a class act all the ay around.
The El Capitan is a classic old-style movie theater like what you used to go to when you were a kid - with a balcony ! So much classier than the cookie cutter theaters of today.
HUGE Screen. Live entertainment before the movie when we've gone - old time organ player, magic tricks, etc
We periodically pay the extra to...

The El Capitan is a beautiful old movie palace on Hollywood Blvd. It's right in the tourist area - down the street from Grauman's Chinese Theater, across the street from the Kodak theater, and amongst the stars on the sidewalks. Be aware it is a little pricey, $16 of a "general admission" ticket. And more expensive if you want a...

El Capitan is THE place to see a Disney movie. It's a small, stunning Art Deco theatre, there's entertainment before most shows - including confetti! I've been there when the short before the film is an old Mickey and Minnie cartoon. If you have kids, you have to take in El Capitan.
without a DISNEY experience at the EL CAPITAN THEATRE!!!!! flat screen tv is certainly fun .... but to experience THE LION KING with a group of kids at the legendary EL CAPITAN theatre is what HOLLYWOOD is all about!!!!!!!!!!!!! then walk across the street and check out the star hands at GRAUMANNs CHINESE theatre............then drive a couple of blocks to...

We watched Iron Man 3 in 3 D and loved it in this old style theatre. The theatre itself was just beautiful.
The kids wanted to see the new Iron man movie, so I took them here. I had no idea what to expect, but the theater was amazing! Its more than just seeing a movie, you get a pre-show atmosphere that really makes the experience. I will definitly come back the next time I'm in town!
My two friends and I caught a showing of Cinderella at El Capitan last year, and it proved a wonderful ending to an otherwise disappointing day on Hollywood Blvd. Would definitely recommend.
I can't remember how much the tickets were, although I have a feeling it was around the $12 mark. We bought them in advance as we weren't sure...

We loved El Capitan when we lived in LA. We went twice and it was magical. There was a pre-show before the movie that just took it over the top. We ate at the little restaurant next door when it was over and you got the complete Disney experience without going to Disneyland/World.
