I drove the circle to see the golf courses and was pleased to see so many great ocean views with pull-offs for lunch and casual viewing (benches!!!). Mansions were impressive, but you can see mansions in lots of resorts.

The views are good but if you have already driven up HWY One you will have already taken enough pictures of rocks and crashing waves to last a life time. For golfers this is a must however. This drive is beautiful and peaceful! There are places to have picnics and take pictures. You can either start in Monterey/pacific grove and end in Carmel or go the other direction. Either way, it is highly recommended.

We had a fantastic trip to and from Carmel on this wonderful drive. The $9.75 fee is worth it - they provide you with a map highlighting the scenic stops enroute. We saw many seals, otters, deer and sea birds at the various stops. The blue sky and sunshine made for a great drive.
