I love cycling and wow this is cool. Cycling through the city on the trail then roads and by the ocean. Absolutely loved it - and would definitely recommend it.

as soon as we arrived in Monterey we got about and found the trail. yes it goes through old wharf, cannery row shops and bars but you follow it around and then you get the on the coast and all the views, waves crashing and the seals along the way. it's windy so certainly take a tip and do "layers...

Peaceful and beautiful. We walked it from where we parked our car to the aquarium due to the parking being free farther up. We checked out an adorable group of harbor seals and could have sat and watched them all day!
We stayed in Pacific Grove and walked this trail to the aquarium and just because every day. We saw sea otters, harbor seals, sea lions, and a large pod of Russo Dolphins from this trail. It was beautiful and peaceful, albeit a bit chilly. Wear layers and don't forget your windbreaker.
We were traveling throughout California for 14 days. We stayed on Cannery Row, and loved being able to see so much by simply walking along the trail. It was refreshing to see so many bikers, walkers, and young parents with strollers, enjoying this wide path that extends along the Pacific. We took MANY photos, while enjoying getting some fresh air...

We walked the path from a point north of Cannery Row to the south end of Pacific Grove. The views are beautiful and there are several opportunities to see seals up close. no dislikes the path is full of beautiful views of Monterey Bay and it's marine life plenty of benches to take a little rest and enjoy the scenery
Very Nice paved along the ocean with flowers, seals, and other things to see. Also nice for a bike ride,
Day or night the trail meanders along the shore and thought out the local business's. We stopped at a little deli close to the Plaza Hotel and had a great lunch then found a little Spa next door called Monterey Day Spa. Walked in, and had a awesome massage and facial. Un-expected pleasures when your wandering around.
Free! Considering the price of some area attractions, this is a delightful way to exercise and see the sights. Well maintained and marked trail. I was able to access right from my hotel property at the La Quinta Inn.
