We had a great time walking along the pier checking out the fishermen. The guys at the bait shop were great and patient with the kids. Also a great place to watch the surfers.

Enjoyed our bike ride to Oceanside from Carlsbad and took a walk on the Pier. Great little shop halfway down where you can purchase bait and some snacks. Enjoyed a milkshake at Ruby's at the end of the pier and the coastline was lovely.

Beware of parking fines. The City of Oceanside is all about fines. The should have a sign that says, Oceanside, CA is bankrupt, please pay a fine before you leave!

not much to do. need more than a ruby's hamburger joint. Need to clean it up a bit. Have no real reason to go back anytime soon.

Very long pier, great for a leisurely stroll. Excellent view of the beach and waves. Ruby's Diner is at the end if you get hungry.

Lots of room for fisherman to Spread out. We have always had good luck fishing here. Great of a leisurely walk or jog. The night fishing seems to be the best here.

During our stay in Oceanside we walked the pier nearly every night. Really great place to stroll or just sit and watch people, fishermen/women, surfers, etc. We encountered some really friendly locals who were proud to show off their catches and give advice on how best to prepare them.

I like to wald around the pier and head towards the ocean. The atmosphere is excellent. Restaurants around have quality food but a bit expensive. But if you're having fun and relaxing, is well worth it.
