Went to a performance of Billy Elliott there. The acoustics were good and we heard the dialogue pretty well. It accommodates over 2000 people and we expect to return there for additional performances.

This is a pretty good place to see a production. Good visibility and sound from everywhere. Bit tough to get to the middle seats.
With the exception of the back two rows in the corners, there really isn't a bad seat in the house at this venue. It is very large and has a variety of events - I frequent the Broadway San Jose shows myself. Parking is nearby and you can walk to a variety of restaurants before the show.

The Best of Broadwas Series is fantastic. there's rarely a play we don't love. If you have a chance sneak into the President's lounge at intermission.
It was a fabulous experience. you should go there at least once so that you know more about it like the way I did.
But a show at ye olde SJ auditorium can be funky fun ... get a spot on the upstairs with straight shot at stage ... old style road show memories ... saw CHICAGO & CSN summer of `12 ... could be their last runs.
We were there for the Jazz Festival. Great acoustics & sight lines. Long lines for the ladies room, though.
