Very well laid out, great variety of artifacts, museum employees friendly and knowlegable. A nice venue, and the grounds are beautiful. Had a nice walk looking at all the beatiful plants, and shrubs and fountain.

The museum will keep you busy wondering how they collected so many Egyptian artifacts. There are many mummies and other ancient displays that one reads about but may not find elsewhere. The layout is well designed and exhibits are well displayed. Very interesting for all ages!
If you want to visit, I recommend checking out the gardens (free) and looking at the buildings from outside. The museum itself is not worth the admission fees they charge. The inside is really creepy, and not because of the mummies and tomb replica. There are no windows, so it is really stuffy and dark. The museum is run by...

I understand they lost some of their funding, which is a shame because it appears a little run down. At one point, it was breathtaking, though it still has some really wonderful charm and unique features. Certainly worth checking out with the family. Lots of bridal shoots here as well.
I have taken my kids here a few times in the last ten years. They enjoy it as it has several actual mummies and a mock up of a tomb. I enjoy the general display of Egyptian and related era and regional artifacts.
Run by the arcane religious society, the Rosicrucians, this little museum is the perfect size. Wander around outside, in the lovely gardens. The fountains are especially soothing on a hot day. The architecture of the museum pulls you right in, with the massive columns and Egyptian statuary. For me, there are just enough exhibits to entertain and teach without becoming...

I believe this is the 2nd largest collection of Egyptian art (after Cairo) and there are all kinds of authentic antiquities (including mummies!). The models and displays are also instructive and interesting. They bring these ancient times to life. Very good museum and worth the time. The gardens are also lovely (I walk through there once a month or so).
The museum exceeded my expectations. The amout of artifacts they have is impressive and the price is very reasonable to get in. I took my Grandmother and we spent two hours roaming around trying to take it all in. We got there a few minutes after they opened and it was not crowded at all. Parking is behind the museum...

I went to this museum a few years ago and was astonished of all the things that were there.
My boyfriend and I went there (though we travel very little) this time (just a couple days ago) and it was still impressive, but not as much so.
Pros:
*Lot's to look at for only $9 entrance fee
*The buildings are...

If you're not interested in Egypt - bypass this museum.
But if you're like my and you're a closet fan of all things Ancient Egyptian - don't miss this museum!
I'll admit to cringing a little every time I passed a mummified cat but I was impressed by the variety and quantity of artifacts. I think my favorite thing to...
