Always worth a visit! Amazing when everything is in bloom! My husband andI spent a day just hiking around taking photos, it was an amazing experience. This is a great area to take kids to learn about California's abundant wildlife
California is just a beautiful State! Soda Lake is in the country. Make sure you have plenty of gas in your car. Spring flowers are fabulous! Pack a lunch and enjoy! Wonderful side roads. Stop at Pozo Saloon for some history and food.
If you're looking for some very interesting scenery, you'll want to drive out to Soda Like. There is a good lookout point where you can see for miles.
This is the best dead lake I've ever seen! Ther eis a very intersting history from before the water was stolen from it.

Great wildflowers in spring, very remote gas up before heading out, no nearby services. You have a chance to see a California Condor.
We stumbled across this on the roundabout way back from Hearst Castle enroute to Tehachapi. If you are in the area you should go see it. The only thing out here is the marker and a bathroom (no running water).
