Leave it to Santa Barbara to have multiple parks on the ocean! Walk, ride a bike, have a picnic, read a book, or drive by slowly and enjoy the view. This is a pretty park right in town.

This (and Shoreline Park) are the cruz of Santa Barbara. Stand on the grass under a swaying Palm tree and look out over the Pacific ocean. Notice the bueatiful sailboats gliding by. Watch the surfers, paddleboarders and the dolphins play in the water. Now turn around and look back at the mountains. Notice how the afternoon light makes the mountains...

Chase Palm Park has a nice childrens play area in the central part, a nice stage for outside performances, and very nicely restored carousel (which is perfect to ride at night time)!
Sandy beach, mountain views, palm tree lined lawn area. Wander down to the pier and enjoy the Santa Barbara experience.
If you go to Chase Palm Park preparing for a quiet picnic and a swim, you may be disappointed. The playgound, ponds, and carousel on the other side of...

Santa Barbara's beach. This is where it started with Chumash Indian village. Nice walk from harbor to volley ball courts on the beach. Browse the Sunday arts and crafts market.

It can also be rented out (there is a small building) for weddings or other events. I wouldn't make a special trip to...

The playground equipment was brand new with very engaging features including trickling and spraying water that encourages dam and channel building in the sand (who doesn't love that?!) The carousel costs $2, but they give a very...
