Schulz, who made Santa Rosa his adopted hometown. The museum is very well done with a solid history of Schulz and his peanuts character. There are many displays of the cartoons and a very good history of the life and drawings of Charles Schulz. After many years of reading this cartoon strip, it was a pleasure to learn more of how it came to being, the work that... More

This looked like a fun place, so we decided to give it a try. We both grew up enjoying the Peanuts comics and TV specials. The building is beautiful and the two prominent wall art displays (wood relief of the evolution of Snoopy and a comic strip panel made up of many comic strips) were very nice. There are a... More

On our trip to Sonoma & San Fran, a pit stop in Santa Rosa at the Charles Schulz Museum was always on the agenda. I'm glad we made the stop. The location is beautiful and the property is bigger than I expected. We were guided by the friendly and knowledgable volunteers, there was one older married couple in particular who... More

Something for everyone. This is Schultz's town. There wonderful drawings, cartoons, statues, memorabilia etc. There are in-depth exhibits. There are non Peanuts-related exhibits that give an insight into the cartoonist. A nice way to spend the morning or afternoon. Very good value/.

Interesting exhibits, especially if you love the peanuts gang. If you visit the museum, be sure to also catch a skating session at the ice arena. You won't regret it.

The place provides so much photo opportunities with favorite peanut characters. Tour guides knew Charles Schultz personally and they can give so much detail on his life and works. Kids will not be bored. There is a room where they can practice drawing. There is also a theatre that continuously run the Charlie Brown cartoons. It brought back good memories.... More

Visited this museum a few weeks ago with my 3 children (3, 5 & 8) A lovely, well laid out museum with lots of interaction to keep the little ones interested, and lots to enthral Mum & Dad too! All 3 children loved the art room, where we were able to draw our own cartoon strips, colour pictures and chat... More

This wonderful museum is worth a drive from anywhere in the Bay Area. It is a wonderful learning experience, showing how an artist developed his craft. Kids will love to see the actual studio where Charles Schulz drew his strips, as well as an art filled courtyard with re-creations of the famous kite-eating tree and other memorable and fun sculptures....
