This little museum packs a lot of interesting local history in a small amount of space. In addition to exhibits on the history of the quaint local creamery and an authentic vintage dentists office, there are excellent exhibits on the lumber trade, beautiful vintage train cars, relics of a shipwreck, a surrey with the fringe on top and much more.... Fantastic Museum - definitely not your typical small town museum - full of really interesting history!

Unexpectedly fun and inexpensive place for the whole family to enjoy. Everything from trains to hippie vans, shipwrecks and Seabiscuit's history.

Plan on taking more time , a lot to see. I didnt know so much went on in that little valley. A lot of history , and a lot of Red Wood came out of those hills to build early California.

No, this is not a world class museum, but it is a wonderful surprise in this small town, otherwise known for being the eastern terminal of the famous Skunk Train (--). Great exhibit on Seabiscuit, local history, trains and more. See their website for further information, although it doesn't really adequately describe this delightful little museum (open Wed-Sun): [--]
