The view is definitely worth the hike. I was a little worried that we wouldn't be able to hike it because of the snow. The path had been heavily traveled and the snow was packed down - we hiked it without a problem. It's about a 10 walk to an amazing overlook of Breckenridge.

We have been up here in the summer and it is absolutely breathtaking. We parked at the lot and biked up to the top. It is a grueling ride if you aren't used to the elevation. We also drove up to the top during another trip to take some of our wedding photos.

This is a nice snowshoe hike in the winter. The views of Breckenridge from Boreas Pass are spectacular!

Wow, the views are phenomenal! Although the road is closed in the winter, we parked at the end of the plowed area and hiked up the road. An easy gentle walk, we saw hikers, dog walkers and cross country skiiers. Don't forget your camera!!

This road is a great drive any time it is open. In the fall, the colors are just a bonus. Take the time to learn the history before you drive it. It used to in part be a narrow gauge RR. The circus used to run their train through here. There is a rich and interesting history to the road.

If the snow is deep, great place to snowshoe for the best views of Breckenridge. If the snow is not deep, a great place to hike for the best views of Breckenridge. Lots of great photo ops, especially on a blue bird ski day or at night under a full moon.

Winter is a great time to walk the Boreas Pass Road. It sits high with a great view of the city of Breckenridge, as well as the ski area. I recommend you get out to hike, snow shoe, or cross country ski the road while it is closed to motor vehicles.

We had a beautiful fall day and decided to take a drive up to Boreas Pass. Their are incredible views of the town of Breckenridge and the ski area. Once you get up to the pass there is a gorgeous view of South Park.

Lovely place to go for a walk in the fall as the leaves change... avoid the weekends though as all the "leaf peepers" DRIVE up here... people get out and walk and enjoy the view!!!

Beautiful ridge drive with vistas across the valley. Colors made the drive magnificent. it is a gravel road, so at certain times of the year and with heavy traffic, this could be a less enjoyable excursion. Try it early in the day to catch sunrise peaking on the mountaintops.
