Loved the course. Many challenging holes with dramatic views. Really fun to play. It was my first time playing at high altitude. I could believe how far the ball when, especially with my shorter irons. I hit over 4 greens on the fly even though I thought I had adjusted my club selection for the altitude. Even though it a... Played Beaver and Elk 18 on a beautiful sunny day. The ball went forever and the course was in excellent shape. Got a deal through Grand Lodge 7 at $114. I have played this course twice and really enjoyed both times. Get there early if you want to practice as the marshalls are really on top of the pace of... More

Played 18 holes in about 5 hours, excellent holes and great layout. Did it the first day at elevation so needed to use the cart more than usual, but the views made up for my poor play.

We travel to Phoenix a lot to play golf and I must say that the grounds at this golf course are some of the best I have ever seen. Had a great day.

Golf is nirvana for the golf in you, but the clubhouse food, bar food mind you, is well prepared, fresh, and tasty. Staff is friendly, and more than accommodating. If you don't golf, go for the vibe and food.

Yes it's narrow. Yes it's harder than most. But it is very beautiful with running rivers and dramatic views of granite shoulders draped in the white ermine of snow usually all year long. I blame my score on the distractions of beauty surrounding the links. Feel free to borrow that as a reason if you need it. Trust me, no... More

Typical Resort mountain golf! twilight rates are fair, but beware of late afternoon showers. greens are subpar for the price. very scenic, but not one I will play again! if you have played Nicklaus courses before, you know what to expect!

This golf course is very well maintained and has beautiful mountain views. The greens on Beaver and Bear are near-perfect, the ones on Elk a little less so, apparently because of the lack of protective snow last winter. Well worth playing.

Always in great condition, beautiful views and a great Nicklaus design. Accuracy is really the important thing here. A course you can play 10 different ways depending on your game that day. The way the course is laid into the landscape is surely to be appreciated. The sight lines across the mountain, the peace and solitude of the course, and... More

Very difficult course, but fair. Poa Annua fairways and greens, like most mountain courses. Very scenic and easy to walk. The best two nines are the originals, Beaver and Bear. Holes 6 and 7 on the Elk are too severe. The ball flies about 10% farther than sea level, but only if you hit the ball high and well. Some... More
