I love going by to look at these sculptures. They are so unique. If you are in the area, do drive by, park and take a walk by the property.

Amazing sculpture's and an incredible talent!!! They are truly gentle giants. Since they are in a residential neighborhood I always feel slightly invasive driving around there.

Since his death some years ago, some of his sculptures seem to have been moved off the property. There is one downtown. But there are still enough to elicit wonder and awe. He built the house too. I am curious who maintains this now that he is gone.

We drove by and saw them from the road, trying to not disturb Ms. Kempf who apparently still lives there. What a lovely little neighborhood. The work is in good condition for being displayed outside and the property well kept all things considered. Magical stuff. Worth the drive by.

Mr. Kempf used to come into the steel company where I worked in his old white station wagon to buy material. Such a neat old guy. I brought some visitors to his house once and he was sitting across the street in his car looking back at his work. When the wind blows, it just a little bit of magic... More

The sculptures are larger than one would imagine (some well over 50' tall) and very extraordinary in design. Unfortunately the viewing is from the street and trees block getting a complete view. But do come and see the property. It is unique!

Growing up in Manitou Springs & Colorado Springs, it was kind of a daily occurrence to see one of Mr Kempf's sculptures.

I would not go here unless you are in the neighborhood. Tough to see clearing since on private property and can only view from the road.
