You can easily walk this zoo - although be prepared for hills. Takes a few hours to see it all. Kids loved the giraffe feeding (I liked it too). Don't miss the budgie exhibit.

Cheyenne MT Zoo can boast that it is located on the highest elevation in the USA. This is one of the nicest Zoos I have been to. The park personnel and volunteers are helpful and nice. The animals are well taken care of. Military? Buy the season pass and save. Lots of climbing, make sure kids wear good shoes. The... More

Some exhibits are too small and get really crowded and some exhibits are too covered in vegitation you can't see anything. Went to Overlook Grill and disappointed in prices and quality of food. The water bottles were not cleaned and the 14 dollar burger was the size a hockey puck.

Wonderful zoo and a great way to spend an afternoon. Although not very big the attractions are top notch with much more up close and personal than you get at most zoos.

If you are looking to get out and hike a bit, this is for you. The whole place is situated on the side of a mountain. I thought it would be very limited for animal viewing, but hey, not so! There were plenty of animals! The best part? Being able to feed the giraffes! And they are wonderful, gentle creatures.... More

CHeyenne Mountain zoo is not the largest or most diverse zoo in the country, but it is a great place to see a variety of animals in excellent exhibits in a scenic landscape. Particular favorites are the giraffes and ape houses.

I've been to many zoos, but this one tops the list! It was an amazing experience for us and for our 4-year old grandson. My husband was skeptical (a zoo is a zoo attitude), but he was very impressed with this facility. We thought we would stay a couple of hours, but ended up staying most of the day. Definitely... More

This Zoo, in my honest opinion, ranks up there with the best of the best! The layout is spectacular with beautiful scenery as well as up close views of the wonderful animals.

Great zoo, other than some of the exhibits weren't functioning. Eat before you go, the food and drinks are pricey (water $4.00 a bottle). Loved this zoo!
