My dad and his wife would take my kids here often when they were really little because its price tag is a lot friendly then Elitches that's for certain. Its a lot more lax in a lot of respects, like time to have to wait to get on rides, age/height requirements for the kids to get on the adult rides.... More

You can tell this park has seen its better days and the staff is the most friendly, but that said ... it has a tremendous nostalgic feel and has the power to instantly rekindle those memories that many of has had as children and would like to pass to our children. The rides are classic and not high-tech or fancy,... More

Exactly the same rides when I was little 25+ years ago and the same rides are still in operation. Many do not work and are very scary. I regret putting my kids on one especially. The Rocket. I was on the ride with them- in 2 separate rockets. I really did fear for my children that I could not hold... More

Lakeside is a beautiful old park and hasn't changed much in the 100 years or so it's been around. No fancy high tech stuff, no wierd roller coasters just a great old wood coaster that creaks and groans. It is not expensive. You pay for parking but are not obligated to buy an expensive all inclusive pass. You can just... More

With lots to do it's a fun place for a summer night. However it would/could use a bit more of the old details spruced up or fixed. But most don't even notice for the fun of the night.

This amusement park is old and well maintained. It has a beautiful carousel, and is a fun way to spend an afternoon or evening.

I used to visit both Lakeside & Elitches during every summer while growing up. Unfortunately, the whole Lakeside area has deteriorated to the point where the neighborhood is no longer safe. I went to school for 2 years adjacent to the park, and was saddened to see it in such disrepair. Even in the "high season" of summer, there is... More

Lakeside. Hmmm. It used to be a pretty cool place to hang out. I still love the retro vibe of a lot of the park, it is really cool. However, it is getting pretty run down and many of those ride operators are more than a litte sketchy. But, it's cheap and the kids still like it, so as long... More
