lovely ballet performance my sister and I took out 14 year old daughters to see the ballet and we had fabulous seats and it is a great auditorium. We so enjoyed the performance and after got to take some photos in the lobby with some of the cast. The girls had a great time and want to go again.

With a live orchestra and some fine dancers, this was a very entertaining show. It was called the Ballet Ariel. It included not only ballet, but tap, swing dancing, be-bop, and other dances true to the era. Musical numbers from about the 30's to the 50's were included. It was a fun show.

Each season the Colorado Ballet presents 4 to 5 ballets - held at the Ellie Caukins Opera House in the Denver Center for the Performing Arts complex (fee parking available adjacent to Center). Each ballet is beautifully staged with outstanding soloists. The Nutcracker is featured for the Christmas season. The Ballet uses a live orchestra. Light refreshments are available in... More

Amazing performance, worth every dime and absolutely will go again. My daughter thought it was funny and entertaining.

Vibrant and worthwhile regional ballet company. They do four major programs a year, including a great Nutcracker and one weekend at the University of Denver theater. The other programs are all at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House in downtown Denver, a block from a light-rail stop.

We attended the ballet masterworks that included Rite of Spring - a rarely performed piece with the full orchestra and ballet. The orchestra was wonderful, the sound filled the Ellie Caulkins Opera House beautifully. The set for all three pieces was very basic, but the dancing was enjoyable. Discount tickets are usually available if you keep a look out for... More

I had a great evening at the Nutcracker despite the little girl next to me kicking me constantly. The performance was great. The audience clearly makes the Nutcracker part of their annual Christmas celebrations, as you could see a lot of large family groups. The dancers were professional (even the children) the costumes and sets were just right to focus... More

We have enjoyed many trips to see the Nutcracker and this year the Colorado Ballet did not disappoint. The look of awe on my daughter's (8 yrs) is always my favorite part of the evening. The costumes, set design, choreography, and orchestra were all fabulous. The addition of a chorus was so special. We cannot imagine a holiday season without... More

The Colorado ballet offers family-friendly, affordable performances, including stody ballets like Peter Pan and Sleeping Beauty. The choreography and technical difficulty are average, but overall they are enjoyable shows. The captioning available at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House makes the storyline much easier to follow.

Final night of the Nutcracker Christmas 2012 (Christmas Eve) was really impressive. We saw a lesser version in early December and it made us want to go back to Denver. The dancing of course, the sets, the venue, the snow--and Christmas Eve--it's enough to make you want to have more kids, just to bring them.
