This is the one winery in Palisade we make sure we go to. We love the different wines especially the cherry wine. Make sure you ask for the wine tour, it is very informative.

Carlson has a large selection of wines. They are not pretentious and even highlight flavors using melted chocolate rims on the glass. We really enjoyed the Sweet Baby Red!

I like a couple of the wines offered at this winery. They do some fun presentations like melting chocolate, rimming a plastic cup with it and serving it with their cherry wine, which is cool. The service can be a little brusque in my opinion which can really ruin a fun time with friends.

As locals from Grand Junction, we don't get to Palisade enough. We love wine so love that we have all of these local wineries. We especially loved Carlson Winery. I love this vineyard because they are friendly, open on Sundays and carry more than just wine. From the white chocolate dried cherrirs to the Elk Summer Sausage there are about eight or more varieties of wine to choose from. They are a must stop during the wine festival weekend with entertainment to go along with all the free tastings.... More

The gift shop was crowded but it's worth the wait to buy a bottle of their wine. If you like cats--there are many themed wines from which to choose and the wines are high quality.

We had a blast during our wine tasting and along with great ideas for pairing our favorite wines we got some fabulous ideas for holiday entertaining with the yummy peach and cherry wines - seriously, who knew you could make chocolate even better! Can't wait to go back here.

We biked between wineries in October 2012, and stopped in at Carlson Vineyards. We brought cheese, bread and crackers, and bought a bottle of an excellent wine at Carlson.
