We enjoyed the tram and the view from the top is incredible, all for only $10.00 per person. They also offer a senior discount and the price for children was less as well.

I have been wanting to stop to do the tram for years and this was the right time to do it. The trip up is beautiful. Takes about 3 mins + allowing for stops to let others on. We stepped outside when we got up top and the view was breathtaking. Highly recommended

When we arrived we heard a couple of people next to their cars grumbling on whether or not to pay $10 to go to the top. We never hesitated I'm going despite the somewhat claustrophobic feeling of climbing up the side of the mountain. If you sit backwards on your way up or down, it is quite a peculiar feeling.... More

When crossing Monarch Pass, the tram was a great way to see the surrounding peaks. At the top is a two-story observatory building with all of the peaks identified at the windows. The day we were there it was clear enough to see Pike's Peak! Be sure to get fudge at the gift shop...it is fabulous.

Nice stopping point headed over the pass from Salida to Crested Butte. The views are amazing on a clear day of all the mountain peaks!

We rode up the tram expecting to find solitude but were happy to see that others had also found this gem of an experience. The views are phenomenal; the staff is very frindly, and the ride is peaceful. If you are traveling through on Highway 50, do not miss the opportunity to take a break here!

Lots of positives ... gorgeous scenery, friendly staff, option of indoor or outdoor viewing, signs to tell you what you're seeing, etc. It's a fun trip up and back, and the old-style gondolas make me feel kind of nostalgic. The gift shop is terrific, with a great selection of items. The single negative ... the adult price has increased to... More

I get a little nervous on rides like this, and this was no exception, because it is quite high in the mountains (though probably no more than 10 feet from the ground below). The enclosed gondola rode smoothly and took only about 8 minutes to get to the top. It is windy at the top, so the gondola moved a... More
