It was cold and rainy the day we visited, but could tell that when weather permitted this would be a fund destination on another visit to Destin.
When you are in the SanDestin area do not miss out on this area. We have visited the area on many occasions and have enjoyed each visit. There are many shops and restaurants .
The Village is on of our favorite places in all of NW Florida. It's a little New Orleans with a variety of restaurants. Acme Oyster Bar has some really good po' boys and cajun food. Out by the dock there are a couple of seafood restaurants that have live music outdoors. If you want something more upscale, the Blue Marlin... More
For the adults, there is Rum Runners for a fun evening of dueling pianos. We had dinner there, which was reasonably priced for a tourist spot, then stayed at that table when the piano dueling started. The Acme Oyster House is very typically New Orleans, and provides a similar menu as their New Orleans locations do. We were there for... More
This place reminds me so much of a local fair. There is a lot for kids to do but it is all priced separately. It can add up I'm a hurry. The places to eat are mediocre and iver priced except for another broken egg. There is a zipline and an arcade. All will add up over one hour. It... More
Such a great place! Weather you want to take your kids to the fabulous playground, stroll through the winding streets, shop in the pretty stores or have a great meal in one of numerous restaurants. This is the place to visit when in Destin!
They have a ton of stuff in the village...restaurants, bars, shops, and plenty of activities for kids. Nice harbor with great views...you should definitely check out if you're in the area.
Nothing in Baytown Wharf is an original. All are from someplace else, Acme Oyster, Famous Door are from New Orleans and are not near as good as the originals. All are over priced. The parking is a joke, park and then ride a bus to Baytown. This is good if staying on Sandestin Resort, but if you are coming from... More
My family always spends time at the Village when we come to the Destin area, no matter if we stay in Sandestin or Seaside or Destin. My kids absolutely love it there! They zip line, ride the carousel, race the boats in the lagoon, play in the arcade....the list goes on! And for the adults there are great family friendly... More
Visited in October which is not peak season, so some of the shops were closed. There are many restaurants to choose from, and you are right on the Harbor water. A little pricey, but if you are on vacation, what the heck.
