We didn't quite know what to expect at this museum, but found ourselves underwhelmed. There is a lot of historical information, but overall the exhibits don't seem particularly current. We combined our visit to this museum with a sailboat/snorkeling trip which was the main feature. Since the Hall of Fame was a side trip, so to speak, we were OK...

During our visit to Southern Florida our family decided to stop at this museum for a quick visit since my husband was a competitive swimmer in the late 80s and now our son is following in his footsteps. I echo similar feedback from other reviews: it is a small museum and it needs some updating. That said, it does have...

This is a fascinating collection of artifacts and images spanning centuries of human history. As much a history museum as a sports hall of fame, there are exhibits that explore fashion, technology and more importantly civil rights issues like Florida's segregated beaches and the struggle for equal rights by women swimmers.
Wax figures of Olympic heroMark Spitz and Johnny Weissmuller...

Don’t get your expectation high when you come here for a visit. It is very small with limited exhibitions. We visited in December 2012 and there is no exhibition for the London Olympics. The dominant exhibition was still 2008 Beijing Olympics. It was almost completed empty when we visited. My son feels sad that Michael Phelps will end up here,...

This is a great place for visitors who want to get in a serious swim, but don't want to brave the ocean. You can get a day pass and swim laps in their 50 meter heated pool. There are also locker/shower facilities available.
I was a swimmer in high school and college. I even swam at the HOF pool back in the mid-eighties. I wanted to visit the museum and see what I had missed in '86. The answer is "not much".
Tired, dated, videos running over and over on old tvs with beat up chairs in front of them.
I was very...

There was some really cool stuff in this museum, but I found myself overwhelmed. There was no discernible system for organization, or at least it didn't make a whole lot of sense to me. Aside from that aspect, I did spend over an hour there, so it was interesting enough to stay (and for the student rate, I can't really...

I was enjoy the swiming pool they know how to treat people that is the reason i s happy when i was there
My husband was a swimmer in college, and we figured we'd spend about 30 minutes here just to see what's there. We were there much longer because it was a lot cooler than we expected. There were so many artifacts and information and videos that we stayed for several hours. Recommended for anyone interested in competitive swimming.
