This museum is inviting and spacious. Everyone on staff was most helpful. At the time of our visit there was an excellent photography exhibit. We were treated to a one-on-one docent explanation of the Pre-Inca tribe exhibition. There is an inviting gift shop and cafe at the entrance to the museum, as well as outdoor cafe table set up outside. Upon the recommendation of a stylist at Aveda in Macy's, I decided to check it out. The performance was amazing and the atmosphere unique.

Fort Lauderdale Museum of Art is located in downtown Fort Lauderdale, close to many attractions, such as river walk. Currently, there is a very interesting exhibition “Wari: Per-Inca Lords if Peru”. The exhibition includes many beautiful ceramic and textiles artifacts from 600-1000 CE. The art of those artifacts represents impressive craftsmanship, the rich ancient culture and human civilization. You will... More

An entire floor was inaccessible for new show being mounted, but I was charged full admission for the one remaining floor. Café closed at 2.30, with no hours posted. There was little logic to what was accessible. Photos of Andy Warhol and cars (temporary). Work of various photojournalists (in progress). A colourful African room. Mural by a Haitian artist trained... More

A nice enough museum, but very few works of art on display. The pop art is great and has some excellent pieces in it. Other than that, we found the rest of the art underwhelming. Less than an hours viewing, even taking in everything. The next day we went to the Loewe museum of art in Coral Gables and that... More

Art of Peru was a great exhibit. The AshCan school of art was exceptionally well represented. Great glackens work on view. Repairs from storm Sandy still ongoing causing many of the galleries to be closed.

They had a Andy Warhol exhibit and it was great. The museum is small but for the price it was a good 2 hour destination...

The building makes a great museum, they usually have different art exhibitions featured, and many of them are from famous artists of all time periods.

I love this art museum. I have been there twice when they had this Italian art borrowed from Italy and when they had the Sharks exhibit. Both times I was impressed at the collections and was pleased with the customer service and how polite all the employees were. I also love the cafe, once you're done, you can sit and... More
