Can find hidden trails and get away from crowds. Lots of area to walk and be away from the sounds of traffic.

We are familiar with Highland Hammock State Park and it did not compare with that. But considering that it is considerably smaller and so near the beach, it does offer quite a bit. History of park is interesting. Tunnel access under A1A is nice.Relaxing to sit by intercoastal and watch the boats. Disappointed that visitor center was closed when we... More

Needs to be cleaned up and perhaps add some interesting reasons to go there. The train is dated and needs refurbishing.

Got away from crowds and felt like natural Florida. Quiet and relaxing. Tunnel access to beach and you have views of the intercostal!

We rented bikes here on a cool day in Fort Lauderdale and it was great! You can take the bikes off the property too. Comfy seats, nice staff, easy access. Such a better deal than getting a bike outside the B Ocean hotel.

This park provides a great place to run. I really enjoy running the A1A and doing speed work in the park. It is a neat place. There were a bunch of teenagers enjoying the youth camp.. Park is bigger than it looks

This was a nice change of pace from the business of beach living.Park staff very friendly and helpful;. We rented bikes and rode around the park. Lots of intercoastals water views. Beware of this red billed duck looking for handouts while we were trying to enjoy an outdoor picnic. We also rented canoes for a quit serene ride through the... More

This was near where we stayed so we walked there - we did not know how large it was! I would have been better to take the car as there were a lot of view points and trails. Good walks along the intercostal waterway, places to picnic etc.
