As with previous plant sales at Heathcote Botanical Gardens, this was a total success for participants. As a member, we love the gardens, largely because of such events. This year there were two new food vendors, Carrabas Restauarant and Bella Roma bakery. Both exceeded expectations as true participants of the event day. (We intend to continue our support of Carrabas... More

This place is absolutely beautfiul. I am so glad that we stopped by. I have driven past it many times and had no idea what to expect. The bonsai display was impressive. The rest of the gardens were very nice too. It was the perfect place to let me 15 month old daughter run around. We will be coming back.

First l thought the Bonsai display was very nice. The rest of the garden looked unattended and messy. Leaves all over the ground, a lot of dead plant material on the plants, and the vegetable garden was a mess. It was very small, it took less than a half hour to walk through. I was disappointed.

A small garden in an urban area has various pleasant areas but features an excellent bonsai garden. Good place to spend a quiet afternoon

This is a small, well developed garden. The property was once owned by a couple who had a nursery but got too old to manage it so gave it to the county. It houses the largest display of bonsai on the East coast, a gift from James Smith. It is a lovely place, quiet, utterly charming. It has a small... More

Very nice gardens and a worthwhile visit. The bonsai collection is amazing, worth the trip. The folks in the gift shop were very helpful.

I went there with my family and we had a wonderful time! The garden contains the largest public tropical bonsai collection in the U.S., featuring 100 bonsai trees on permanent display! It has a nice diversity of plants ant trees and a cracker house which is really interesting to see...Please visit their web site http://www.heathcotebotanicalgardens.org to see all the activities... Our recent trip to Heathcote Botanical Gardens was delightful. The new Bonsai Collection was the highlight of our tour. We also enjoyed the gardens' resident cats, who are friendly and enjoy being petted. It's a great bargain for a reasonable admission price and a peaceful stroll.

The garden claims it is the "largest public tropical bonsai collection in the United States, featuring 100 bonsai trees on permanent display. It is smallish when compared to most large public gardens, but well kept and interesting.
