Please note: the water level varies greatly on this river. We went in late April, toward the end of the dry season, but after a few good rains. My family and I recently rented 3 canoes and took a trip on the Loxahatchee. Although we didn't see any gators that day, there were plenty of water birds, raptors, and fish. This was a very rexaling way to spend the afternoon. Wish I was still there!
