It has been lovingly restored and is great. The management is friendly and they have a full bar-how Key West.

This place beats all those cookie cutter multi-movie cinemas. The choice of movies are very upscale and may never cross [peoples' minds as worth seeing!

Volunteer run, this theater has a terrific selection of films, first run and foreign. A great place to escape the heat, and since it is located at party central (i.e. right off Duval, you can still go eat and/or bar hop after the movie.

Being married to a film student I always get drug to Art House specials. The Tropic Cinema I can say is well done. Clean entertaining and great for a rainy evening in KW

we went to a special cultural event about the war on drugs, there was a champagne reception and Q-and-A with the producer, very nicely done, no fluff, it speaks well for the community

We arrived a little early and bought a glass of wine to sip during the film. The theatre had only around 30 seats of which 4 were occupied and the seats themselves really plush and comfy. The film was not too loud and everything just right.

Not sure what all the hype is about. Maybe I'm spoiled by the modern state of the art theaters but I wasn't impressed. Not a bad experience, just wouldn't do it again.

Had a quiet movie night during our trip to Key West. Tropic Cinema had great first run movies to choose from, a perfect sized concession, comfortable seats and a quaint setting. ALL PERFECT.
