Very calm and clean beach. Wasn't too crowded (went in the first week of May). Definitely coming back.

I do not know why people hate south beach it is gorgeous and beautiful! This was worth everything I am going to come again

We had to make a stop at the beach when we stayed in South Beach for the night. I wish we had more time to fully enjoy the area. The beach is gorgeous and the water is even better. The sandbars are awesome that you can walk out to. I will return and enjoy some more time on the beach.

What a great beach. Go early to reserve one of the "beds". It is an elevated queens size padded "bed" that hold 3-4 people. Great for sunning and people watching. Food is across the street. We found parking about 4 blocks away from Ocean Drive but we didn't care because it was a beautiful day to walk. Nice water, nice sand, too bad there are no bars on the beach though. Make sure you bring your sunscreen!

I'd go on a week day next time! It was too crowded and there was no public parking. Lots of great people watching though!!!!!!
